What You Can Do Now To Stop Excess Sweating

A small minority of people actually suffer from excess sweating problems. It is a pretty embarrassing problem to suffer from often it makes you look like you have a lack of confidence in social situations and that you always appear to have just got out of the gym ten minutes prior.

Do unnatural clothing fibers have that much effect on sweating?

They can. Unnatural fibers don't breath. Your shirt and pants will leave the air around your body very hot and this can lead to sweating. What you want to do is get clothing that breathes. For example, cotton is very good for breathing. All the hot air is able to escape, so your body can stay cool.

I'm a little overweight, could that be part of the problem?

It could be. It is simple science in this case that the more weight you have, the more energy you have to expend when you move, which results in more heat. That's not to say being slightly overweight will cause it. What you want to do is have your weight as a position where your body can handle it without having to get tired. This could simply mean having more muscle. If you are overweight, than it is probably best to lose weight for the sake of your health first, than sweat second.

Does the way I eat, effect my sweating?

It very well can. I learned from a book called "Stop Excess Sweating" that foods that are spicy will cause your metabolism to greatly accelerate, which makes you hot. Other things like coffee that has a high amount of caffeine in it will cause your heart to beat faster and make you hot. Often cutting out these foods will result in less sweating.
